"When we reflect on who we are as women, we see ourselves not only as Women Veterans, but also as parents, wives, sisters, providers, caretakers, and as caregivers to our spouses, loved ones, or even grandparents. We take on the role of caregivers for siblings, friends, and often serve as the head of our households. Many of us are single parents, survivors, and warriors. Women juggle countless roles in today’s world, but for Women Veterans, these challenges are amplified as we navigate the struggle of reintegrating into civilian life while continuing to care for our families. Alongside us are our caregivers, especially women, who give so much and ask for so little. Their selflessness often goes unnoticed, yet their support is vital to all of our journey." Daphnee Uter
